Another AIBA Gold Medal Awarded to O’Brien Beer

For only the third time in the history of the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA), a Gold Medal has been awarded to a gluten free beer, this time to O’Brien Stout.

The judging panel noted that O’Brien Stout was a “great balanced beer”.

Of the only three AIBA Gold Medals ever awarded to gluten free beer to date, all three have been awarded to O’Brien Beers, with previous AIBA Gold Medals being awarded to O’Brien Belgian Ale and O’Brien Brown Ale.

O’Brien Stout gluten free beer is in the style of an Irish Stout with a slight sweetness.  It has a deep ruby/black colour with a tan head. Specially roasted sorghum and millet malts provide an aroma of roast coffee and rich chocolate flavour. A full, creamy mouth feel gives way to a roasty bitterness with a light sweetness.
5.3% Alc/Vol.

O’Brien Stout is a great accompaniment to those warm and hearty winter food dishes.
